32-001 US Navy Phantom MiG-Killers 


This decal sheet provides markings for two MiG–killing Phantoms flown by US Navy Fighting Squadrons 92 and 31 during the initial Linebacker operations of 1972. It was produced after considerable research, personal meetings and correspondence with the aircrew members involved, and presents new information which revises some generally accepted facts about the engagements. In many instances, MiG kills were achieved by aircrew flying aircraft nominally assigned to other squadron members, the kill markings being applied to the victorious aircrews’ flown aircraft upon return to their carrier. These non-involved but personally marked aircraft have often been incorrectly assumed to be the actual MiG killers. With this decal sheet the modeler can build Curt Dosé's and Sam Flynn's Phantoms as flown during the MiG–killing missions.
